You morning runners really have something figured out. You see, I've NEVER been an AM worker-outer. I just can't drag my arse outta bed. Somehow in my sleepy daze I talk myself out of it. Bed or run? Mmmm, comfy warm bed. I just can't do it, cap'n.
Ever since I began playing sports in the 3rd grade, I got used to evening practices and working out at night. Even in college if I couldn't fit in a work out between classes I'd go at midnight right before the gym closed. I know, that wreaks havoc on a sleep schedule [then again, who sleeps in college?].
Friday night in preparation for the early rise, I went to bed early, behaved myself, didn't go out...I was so proud of myself. As the alarm rang at 6 I surprisingly had no problem hoping out of bed. I was actually excited for this first team run. Unfortunately, I had to drop some dough to cab out to the Wilson Lakefront path. No way was I taking a bus this early in the AM. So, cabbie and I are driving, I'm getting focused trying to wake up my sleepy muscles. We arrive at the spot, and only 1 problem, I can't find ANYbody. For any Chicago runners, the Wilson exit off of LSD is asinine! Seriously, after driving around with the poor cabbie being oh so patient with my absent sense of direction, I decided to forget it. Though, we did find the Aids Marathon team that very nicely tried to direct me and later said I could run with them if I couldn't find TNT. Forget it. The cabbie drove me to the Fullerton exit and I ran home from there.
But back to my earlier statement, you AM runners really have something figured out. The sun was up, the weather was perfect, and I was home by 8:30 already having my 3 miles completed for the day. Already having that out of the way, I started contemplating all that I could conquer in the day. Back at my apt I wondered if I should shower up and get ready for my day, then I saw my bed.

That it. I am personally driving you to the meeting spot this week.
No way are you getting lost ever again, lil' lady.
You're a travesty ... who gets lost?
The AM is great but too bad you got lost. But more importantly you ran - I would have takend the cab back home.
