Way Overdue

So, really what have I been up to since my post..nearly a month ago? Good
question.

I've been traveling A LOT. Three trips total in October which left me with only one weekend to do the things I didn't do the other three weekends. Oh, and each trip left me more broke than I already am....inconveniently so before the holidays. Money stresses me out sooo much. Who's in favor of the barter system? I give you something worthwhile, you give me a plane ticket home for the holidays??!

All the stresses were great running motivators. I can't keep all of that in. Gotta run it out! Not nearly as much as I wanted, but quality runs. Quality over quantity, right?

One in particular was my illegal 6 mile run in the Chicago marathon. You see, Chicago was my marathon to run, but then a best guy friend from college decided to get married that day. But, I had a nice compromise. Jacob and I flew back early Sunday morning and landed in Chicago only 2 hours after the start of the race. I hurried from the airport to Jacob's office downtown, changed into my running clothes and went on my way to cheer on some friends that were running.

I met my friend Mike at the 21 mile marker, ran with him for a mile or so, ran back and met up with his wife, Barb who was struggling a bit. For the last 5 miles I served as her personal cheerleader; running with her, encouraging her and the crowd to cheer her on ["Go Barb" shirt and all]. Really, it was an excuse to run at least 6 miles of the Chicago marathon...and it was AWESOME. I wanted to run back to the start and run it all. Next year...next year it'll be mine.

KU basketball season is here=Taylor has a life now!
Well, we're not talking about the ORU pitiful showing. You know I'll still cheer them on to my death bed. I just LOVE KU bball...it really is apart of who I am. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

I have been putting in some obnoxious hours--at least 10 hours a day...and some even 12 or 13. You know what, though...I'm okay with it. I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel and no one is forcing me to be here--it's my own neurotic tendencies. I work for such a GREAT company. They recognize, appreciate and reward me for my hard work.

Jacob and I are going to Indiana tonight for the Notre Dame/Army game, basketball game on Sunday, company bowling party on Monday, basketball game on Tuesday and then it's Thanksgiving. Time is FLYING!

Happy Friday!
